SCout facilitates a mash-up of Motorola’s
HD Video application with social networks

How it works (first demonstrated at CTIA Wireless 2009 in Las Vegas):
1. Motorola video camera captures and streams HD video through its LTE infrastructure
2. A media server records the video stream and stores it in a video repository
3. SCout monitors when a new video is available for publishing
4. When a new video is available, SCout initiates the internet publishing logic:
- the video is transcoded to lower quality to meet internet requirements
- the video is posted to YouTube and Blogger
- a new tweet is posted to the user’s Twitter account
- an SMS announcing the new video is sent to the user’s buddy list
